Mark Kash is a retired US Air Force Veteran, a world traveler, an avid photographer, and lover of classic rock and foldable maps.  He was born in Newton, Kansas and graduated from the University of La Verne in California.  He has always wanted to be a writer and has never forgotten his high school English teacher, Mr. Brown, who once told him that “The sign of a budding writer is one who writes on napkins.”  Mark aspires to be as loved as his own favorite author, Douglas Adams – author of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy.”

Mark often tells his fans that his most favorite thing is an open road and a full tank of gas.  He has traveled the United States coast to coast multiple times, lived in Germany for seven years, and has traveled to nearly every country in Europe but he still hasn’t cured his travel bug!  One of his favorite destinations so far was the Netherlands where he observed a mouse on the tracks of the Amsterdam Centraal Station which became the inspiration for his first book “The Mice At Amsterdam Centraal Station.  

When not out traveling, exploring, and writing, Mark enjoys playing board games, card games. taking photos – and folding maps.
